The Evolution of CPR Training is Here

August 2nd 2019

According to European statistics, the survival rate from CPR alone during a cardiac arrest is extremely low. The main reason we perform CPR is not that the victim will recover, but because we keep the heart, the brain and the rest of the organs oxygenated so that the AED can have its “shot” of bringing the victim back to life! The statistics are 6% to recover by CPR alone and 50%-70% with an AED on-site.

CPR is vital. But good CPR is even more vital. Statistics show that by performing “good” CPR, by following the Resuscitation Council guidelines in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, the chances of survival rate increase significantly. This is why we solidly insist, during our training courses, for participants to perform all the required skills during the course.

Technology in CPR training

But with the use of technology we can achieve much, much more. We are happy to announce that our team uses 4 brand new manikins with the latest technology on CPR monitoring, by providing direct feedback to the instructor.

Our new manikins allow an instructor to monitor four participants at the same time from the palm of their hand. The “Instructor App” provides an easy to view performance summary that highlights which students may require further guidance.

Why is this important?

At a glance, you can pick up who is not compressing deeply enough, or goes too fast or too slow.

What is even more exciting is that it can detect ventilations, overventilation or no ventilations. This is very useful as participants feel more comfortable and ready to actually perform CPR in real life when they have actually achieved it in practice.

The features of our new manikins include:

  • You receive instantaneous feedback on ventilations and compressions
  • After the practice there is a summary with the total score, concluding results and advice on how to improve yourself.
  • Details on the number of ventilations, compressions, and cycles. Information on compression release as well as important data on depth, rate and ventilation volume.

Our efforts to maintain a high level of standards in our training is an ongoing process. We thrive to continue to be the leading training provider for first aid and rescue related courses.
